To maximize the bioavailability of the cannabinoids in your tea, add a fat such as a pad of butter, coconut milk, coconut oil, milk or cream. For an even bigger boost, use CR Balance, the unrefined, cold-pressed, organic coconut oil lipid infused with whole plant hemp. Consider adding CR Honey Help Raw Honey with whole plant hemp in to sweeten and boost your tea.
Why Choose Hemp Infused Tea?
Tea provides an excellent delivery method of hemp, using the whole hemp flower which is rich in compounds like cannabinoids such as CBD and CBDA (the raw form of CBD which, like most foods are most beneficial in their raw form) as well as terpenes (the natural compounds responsible for the smell) and flavonoids (the parts of the plant rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and supportive of the immune system.) Brewing the tea in a low-temperature steep subsequently preserves more of the plant over consuming it whilst using other methods such as smoking or vaping it or making it into a tincture for edibles.
Will drinking Hemp tea make you feel high?
No. Hemp is naturally low in THC, 0.3% or less. Although there is THC present, it is not enough to cause any euphoric or psychoactive effects. It may contribute to feeling more relaxed and for helping to get a better night sleep. Want to learn more about THC? Check out the educational resources at MMJ Knowledge.
How much is the right amount of CBD?
It’s always a good idea to “go slow, start low.” If you have not used hemp derived products like CBD before, it’s best to start with half of a serving. When digesting CBD in tea, it will take 45 minutes to one hour fifteen minutes to take effect. The great thing about tea is that the ritual of slowing sipping it is as therapeutic as it is helpful in gauging it’s effects. You can adjust how much CBD you take in by adding more water or take half of serving for less. Generally, 10-20 mg is a good starting point.
